Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, former mayor of Baltimore, and Michael Nutter, former mayor of Philadelphia, join the Firm's roster of prominent former local government officials. Mayor Rawlings-Blake was elected the 49th mayor of Baltimore, serving the city from January 2010 to January 2016. During her tenure, Mayor Rawlings-Blake created Baltimore's first long-range financial plan; created tax incentives to attract developers and revitalize areas of the city; and developed a number of innovative programs focusing on sustainability and attracting millennials. Mayor Rawlings-Blake was elected secretary of the Democratic National Committee in January 2013 and also served as the president of the United States Conference of Mayors from June 2015 to June 2016. Mayor Nutter was elected the 98th mayor of Philadelphia, serving the city from January 2008 to January 2016. During his tenure, Mayor Nutter launched many successful campaigns to boost population growth, economic development , increase the city's credit rating, and passed his Actual Value Initiative -- the city's first ever property assessment system overhaul. Mayor Nutter previously served the Philadelphia City Council for nearly 15 years and serves as an at-large member of the Democratic National Committee. He also served as the president of the United States Conference of Mayors from June 2012 to June 2013.
